New Product Developer  - Cosmetics - Knutsford

A global leader in cosmetics is looking for a New Product Developer to join the NPD team. This is a great opportunity to work in NPD for a market leader in cosmetics and personal care. As a New Product Developer you will have further career progression opportunities as the business is recording year on year growth. You will be working with a dynamic company and trendsetter in the market who have created their own brand.

Ideal requirements;

• We are looking for someone with experience in a research based role / trend analysis, sales, following trends, developing and presenting new trends.
• Experience in or passion for cosmetics would be ideal!

The role;

• Identifying and converting market opportunities based on emerging trends.
• Correctly identifying and size opportunities at both macro and micro level.
• Managing the NPD process through from initial concept to order.
• Working cross functionally and collaboratively across the business including, R&D, technical and design.
• Offering personalised private label solutions to clients (initial concept cads to packaging and final range)
• Creation of briefs for design teams and customers.
• Creating good relations ships with account managers and merchandising
• Product architecture including copy writing for formulation developments
• Briefing new formulation developments, working closely with in house chemists to develop skincare and colour cosmetic formulations both in the UK and China.
• Working closely with the regulatory
• Preparing product costings for the Account Managers to quote.
• Sample Management
